The reason that I put this up is that about half way down is an entry mentioning Robert fitz Odo of the Warwickshire Loxley and his wife Matilda. I an
intensive search in the Curia Regis Rolls that survive from the 1190's on (1193-94, then 1199 on) Graham Philips in the Tony Robinson RH doc said that
there were records of Robert fitz Odo causing trouble in the local area around Loxley, where?? I have not found a thing? I think it could actually be this
record mentioning the word 'pace' that he has seen. This is case though involving Fitz Odo's wife Matilda, morte de ancestor, Fitz Odo is dead.
I just cannot see any real case being made for fitz Odo as RH. Even if there was a record of him being outside the law, the locations, Warwick, just have no connection to any locations connected to RH. |

When did FitzOdo die? I know he was dead by 1196 but I've seen at least one reference, I think in the Victoria County Histories, saying that he was dead by
1179.
If Graham Philips told me the sea was wet I'd be inclined to double-check it. |

Graham fo PM, any ideas as to who wrote this article. Is the first bit something to do with Lord of the Ring, or an excerpt from a well-known Johnny Cash,
'Ring of Fire.' Dr John Pope de Locksley is only a doctor in his own head. Last thing I read about him was that he was a car-park attendant in Barnet.
If I can find the article on Dr John, I'll post it.
