Black, slim and hunky - the new Friar Tuck,' reads the headlines. Friar Tuck in the new series of Robin Hood is to be played by David Harewood. I'm
sure I remember him from the hospital soap, Casualty,' but evidently he also played along side Leonardo DiCaprio in the film Blood Diamond.'

A pathetically PC and derivative move - ripping off Nasir in ROS and Morgan Freeman's character in Prince of Thieves. I wish that series would just stop. |

Me too, probably. Sigh. I keep hoping it will get better - fat chance!

This series gets more and more ridiculous as times goes by. I'll be surprised if it lasts more than 3 seasons. Someone put it out of our misery!
I love Alexander Gauge too, best Friar Tuck, ever! |

James Hayter (1952 'The Story of Robin Hood and his Merrie Men' Richard Todd film and 1267 'Hammer 'Challenge for Robin Hood') is my
favourite Tuck.

The article continued,' It had been rumoured that rotund Little Britain star, Matt Lucas would fill the roll of Robin Hood's jovial companion.'
Yeah, I could see that working. 'A smitten BBC source tells us, 'David (Harewood) is incredibly hunky and the most atypical Tuck you could imagine. The Beeb wants something new and revolutionary, a talking point, which puts a black actor in the forefront.' |

Ha! Rabbi Tuckman is all kinds of awesome. My favorite Tucks are from The Adventures of Robin Hood (with Errol Flynn), and the Bergin Robin Hood. They are awesome. |
