who then took the plaque to the Lord Mayor of Nottingham as a coat of arms for the...

Having read this I accept that he may have been in Sherwood and left A.S.A.P. to return to Yorkshire.

A manuscript in Lincoln Cathedral said to date circa 1400 is said to be a text of an early 'lytell Geste' and includes the lines "Robin Hood in

You know perfectly well that Sherwood is not mentioned in any of the early rhymes, but you will persist in talking about Robin Hood being in Sherwood. The
nearest he ever got was in Nottingham and then he was only there for a very short time. He went there from Yorkshire because he was a YORKSHIRE man. Have you
got that! Do you understand, for the umpteenth time of telling?

Robert, you crack me up.
I just found out that yes, the International Archery Competition is still held every July 19th. (I just wasn't sure as the documents and pictures I was
viewing were at least ten years old.) The spirit of Robyn Hode is alive and well in Sherwood, OR!

Hey you Nottinghamshire archers - beware, because I'm going to start practicing with my own bow. I'm definitely going to join in on this tournament.
