Unfortunately the bid for the 'Peoples Lottery Grant', to re-plant and improve facilities at Sherwood Forest, known as 'Sherwood: The Living legend', was un-successful today. It was won by'Conect2' which has a UK wide project to improve local travel in 79 different communities, by creating walking and cycling routes.

Voting has now closed and the results will be announced on ITV News on Wednesday 12th December. (Fingres crossed for Sherwood!)

Alan's page, 'Robin Hood Bold Outlaw of Barnsdale and Sherwood,' allows you immediate access to the voting. Scroll down to "Sherwood the Living Legend," and click on that. Click on the eagle and everything from there is quite simple. Even I managed, so you experts out there should have no problem.
This way allows you to vote as many time as you want .
And yes, my mistake, we have until tomorrow (Monday) lunch time.
I have not seen anything which...

I heard that voting continued until tomorrow (Dec. 10) at mid-day. So, you still have a chance.

My website has had lots of technical craziness -- up, down, retro, up, down -- this week or I would have more heavily promoted this sooner. It's a great cause.

Also, while cheating may be very wrong, I am not sure how the online voting mechanism could know that voters aren't from the UK, and so other people from around the world could probably vote. Just thinking out...

If you click om my website Lady Archer, there are three video clips and a brief summery of the bid for a lottery grant, to amongst many other things expand and re-plant parts of the diminishing forest, build a new visitor centre and protect the wildlife.
